SnowLoadCheck reports that code figure per county, then converts it into an inches-of-snow depth so it means something without a structural engineer to translate it.

What goes into the number

Each county's design roof snow load comes from ASCE 7-22's own ground snow load map and load formula, including the low-slope-roof minimum (§7.3.4) where it governs. Snowfall context comes from NOAA's 1991-2020 climate normals at the nearest reporting station. Both sources are named on every county's page; SnowLoadCheck does not estimate or invent either figure.
