Terms of Use, SnowLoadCheck
What this site is
SnowLoadCheck reports a county-level design roof snow load derived from ASCE 7's public code map, plus NOAA snowfall normals for context. It is informational only and is not a structural engineer's calculation, a building permit figure, or a guarantee of what a specific roof can safely carry.
No warranty on the figures
Every figure traces to the named ASCE 7 and NOAA sources on the county page, but county-level does not mean address-level: exposure, roof pitch, elevation, occupancy category, and heating all move the real design number away from this site's default-case figure. Nothing on this site should be the sole basis for a construction decision, a permit filing, or a structural repair.
No professional advice
Nothing on this site is structural, engineering, or legal advice. Anyone planning construction, a permit application, or a roof repair around a specific number should get the site-specific figure from the ASCE 7 Hazard Tool and confirm it with a licensed engineer or their local building department.
